Chip pan fire in Skelmersdale

At 14:43 on 8 April 2025, two fire engines from Ormskirk and Skelmersdale attended a domestic premises on Hallcroft, Birch Green, Skelmersdale. The fire was involving a chip pan which was out on the arrival. One casualty suffered with smoke inhalation and received treatment from crews using a trauma pack, and was then handed over to the care of north west ambulance service. A home fire safety assessment was also completed by fire crews, who were on scene for approximately thirty-five minutes.
