At 17:13 hours on Sunday, the 19th of May 2024, four fire engines from Blackpool, South Shore, Fulwood, and Penwortham attended an incident on Poulton Street, Kirkham. The fire involved a small amount of rubbish in a derelict building. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. The crews were in attendance for thirty minutes.
