At 21:15 hours on 23rd March 2025, three fire engines from Skelmersdale and Ormskirk attended a commercial building fire on Ashurst Road, Skelmersdale. The fire involved a large quantity of rubbish inside a commercial property. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, lighting, and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and forty minutes.
