At 01:51 on the 15th August 2024, four fire engines from Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Leyland attended a commercial building fire on Carr House Lane, Wrightington. Firefighters used two hose reel jets and lighting to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for two hours.
