At 16:16 on 8 April 2025, three fire engines from Preston, Bamber Bridge and Leyland attended a commercial premises on Ribbleton Lane, Preston. The fire involved a room in the premises and was out on the arrival of crews. One casualty suffered from smoke inhalation and received medical treatment from crews. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus cylinders to ventilate the premises and were on scene for approximately thirty-five minutes.
