At 09:40 hours on 19th July 2024, four fire engines from Nelson, Barnoldswick, Burnley, and Hyndburn fire stations attended an incident on Windy Bank, Colne. The fire involved a vehicle in an underground car park. Firefighters used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control and were detained for two hours.
