At 12:49 hours on December 1, 2024, three fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen fire stations attended a fire at a commercial premises on Weir Street, Blackburn. The fire involved a drum and had spread to multiple items within the compound of the premises. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were on the scene for approximately thirty-five minutes.
