At 21:01 on April 3rd, 2025, three fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen, along with the drone, and the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team from Chorley attended a dangerous structure on Cardwell Place in Blackburn. Three casualties were rescued by the fire service and were then cared for by the ambulance service. Firefighters have made the scene safe and crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and thirty minutes.
