At 20:33 on 19th August 2025, four fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Penwortham, and Chorley, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston, responded to a derelict building fire on Fowler Lane, Farrington Moss, Leyland. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels and two ventilation units. Crews were on the scene for approximately three hours.
