At 16:43 hours on Sunday, 15th December 2024, several fire engines, an aerial ladder platform from Preston, and a drone unit attended an incident on Granville Park, Aughton. The fire involved a large derelict property. Crews used a hose reel jet and a main jet to combat the fire. Firefighting operations are still in progress, and crews remain in attendance.
