Domestic property fire in Blackburn

At 13:44 on 24th January 2025, three fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen attended a building fire on Rothesay Road, Blackburn. The fire involved seven wheelie bins in a garden at the rear of a block of flats and had spread to two flats. Fire crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and checked the roof space of both properties using a triple extension ladder, a thermal imaging camera, and lighting. Crews were in attendance for approximately forty-five minutes.
