At 07:07 hours on 5th November 2024, one fire engine from Rawtenstall and another from Manchester Fire and Rescue attended a building fire on Manchester Road, Haslingden. The fire involved a place mat left on the hob. One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation. Crews were in attendance for forty minutes.
