House fire in Darwen

At 19:36, three fire engines from Darwen and Blackburn attended a fire involving the kitchen of a house on Belgrave Road, Darwen. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two positive pressure ventilation units, cutting away equipment, hand tools and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
