At 19:15, two fire engines from Penwortham and Bamber Bridge fire stations attended reports of a domestic building fire on Leyland Road in Penwortham. Upon arrival, fire crews extinguished a fire in the rear garden of the property using one hose reel. They also used a method of entry kit to clear smoke from the property and provided a welfare check on a dog inside. Fire crews were in attendance for forty-five minutes.
