On the 22nd of September 2024, at 15:32 hours, two fire engines from Skelmersdale attended an incident alongside the North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters extricated and stabilized one casualty in a woodland area, using a longboard for support. Crews were on the scene for one hour and thirty minutes.
