At 15:19 on the 4th December 2024, two fire engines from Burnley and Rawtenstall attended an incident on Burnley Road, Rawtenstall. Firefighters used holmatro equipment and lighting to release one casualty from a vehicle. The casualty was handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes.
