At 08:15 on Saturday, 5th April 2025, two fire engines from Morecambe and Carnforth attended a road traffic collision on the M6 northbound between junctions 35 and 36. Fire service personnel extricated one casualty from a vehicle and handed them into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for ninety minutes.
