At 12:03 on 6th April 2025, three fire engines from Lancaster and Preston attended a road traffic collision on the M6 southbound between junctions 33 and 32. The incident involved one vehicle with one casualty trapped. Fire crews extricated the casualty and handed them over to the care of ambulance crews. Fire crews were in attendance for one hour.
