At 21:40 hours on 31st December 2024, two fire engines from Blackburn and Blackpool attended a road traffic collision involving one vehicle on Roman Road, Darwen. Firefighters used cutting equipment to extricate one casualty from the vehicle. Crews were detained for fifty-five minutes.
