At 15:01 hours on 10th November 2024, three fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, and Bolton-le-Sands, along with the water bowser from Leyland, attended a vehicle fire on the M6 southbound at Junction 34. The fire involved the axle of a trailer. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for two hours.
