It is essential that submissions include all relevant information, such as:
Existing plans where the work involves an existing building (e.g. alterations, extension, change of use);
Accurate location details for new-build projects where we may need to create a new gazetteer entry for the premises
(if this is not clear from a location plan then the grid reference or other means such as What3Words should be used) ;
Comprehensive fire strategy plans as appropriate;
Any fire safety comments already made by the inspector/surveyor.
It would also be greatly appreciated if the consultation letter could include a list of the reference numbers of all drawings included in the submission.
Please ensure all initial submission emails include your consultation reference and the full site address (with postcode) in the subject line, and any follow-up correspondence relating to a previous submission also has these details in the subject line, preceded by a suitable indicator such as “Revised plans”, or “Chase-up”.
