At 21:41 on the 29th July 2024, three fire engines from Bamber Bridge and Leyland along with the Stinger from Blackburn and the aerial drone unit attended a domestic property fire on Mercia Grove, Clayton-le-Woods. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels, one hose reel jet, a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. Crews remain in attendance.
