At 18:09 on 30th November 2024, two fire engines from Penwortham and Preston attended a road traffic collision on Strand Road, Preston, involving three vehicles. Firefighters used electrical cutting equipment to extricate one casualty, who was handed over to the North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and forty minutes.
