An opportunity has arisen for two Programme Support Workers to join an inclusive and value driven public sector organisation with an outstanding organisational culture. We offer free car parking, a generous pension and generous annual leave.

This is a challenging but immensely rewarding role, delivering the King’s Trust Team Programme to young people in the 16-25 age group in Lancashire. The King’s Trust Team Programme is a personal development programme that enables young people to develop their confidence, motivation and skills through teamwork in the community. It brings together people of different abilities, circumstances and backgrounds – both employed and unemployed.

As a King’s Trust Programme Support Worker supporting the Team Leader, you will hold or be willing to work towards an appropriate teaching qualification; you will have excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You will be able to work outside normal office hours and hold a current driving licence.

You will demonstrate a commitment to equality and embrace diversity and inclusivity. The ability to empathise with young people, working with them – often resolving conflict – and supporting their development will come as second nature to you, and you will have the skills to liaise effectively with the various agencies and professionals who deal with the young people on a daily basis. Additionally, you will have an understanding of the principles of health and safety and risk assessment.
