At 21:32 on 19 December 2024 crews from Blackburn and Darwen attended a commercial building fire on Bennington Street, Blackburn. Fire crews treated one casualty suffering burns and smoke inhalation. Firefighters used a positive pressure ventilation fan, one hose reel and lighting to extinguish the fire, and were in attendance for 30 minutes.
