At 16:27 on 5th February 2025, three fire engines from Fulwood, and Leyland and Horwich from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended a road traffic collision on Grimeford Lane, Anderton. The incident involved one car. Firefighters extricated one casualty from the vehicle using a short extension ladder. The casualty was then handed over to the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for 40 minutes.
