At 17:30 on 20 December 2024, three fire engines from Nelson and Colne attended an incident on Southfield Street, Nelson. The fire involved a skip in a yard of a commercial property. Firefighters use one breathing apparatus and one hose reel. Firefighters were in attendance for seventy minutes.
